TICK, TOCK telling time to the hour and half hour!

We have been looking at clocks and learning to tell time to the hour and half hour.  I found a website that asked "What time is it?" using an analog clock and the boys and girls have to answer with the digital time. I find this wonderful, they can see both types of clocks and learn the time two ways.

HIP HOP around the clock!

Getting ready for "READ ACROSS AMERICA" celebrating Dr. Seuss!

This week we are working on our Cat in the Hat door decoration for our celebration for Dr. Seuss next week...READ ACROSS AMERICA!

To introduce Dr. Seuss to the children (most of them knew of course) I showed a powerpoint presentation made by a teacher in Colorado at JEFFCO Public Schools named Mrs. Shehan and I also got the idea from her to make the door decoration which is coming out great!

Click on the link and scroll down to the powerpoint presentation on Mrs. Shehan's website!

As my boys and girls were gluing their Cat in the Hats together, I had Justin Beiber read us "The Cat in the Hat!"

A 100th and Valentine's Day Extravaganza!

Last week we celebrated two very special days in Kindergarten.  We celebrated the 100th Day of School and Valentine's Day.  During the two days we did lots of MATH: we counted by 10's to make our 100th Day Gumball Machines and we did a Candy Heart Estimation and our Valentine Cookie Addition!
